Anyone else remember the wild hype around the 1990 Score Traded Eric Lindros baseball card?
We weren’t even into hockey—but for a hot minute, Lindros’ Blue Jays card was the thing. Prices spiked, collectors scrambled, and suddenly baseball fans were dipping toes into NHL waters.
The twist? Lindros never played a single inning of pro baseball. It was a marketing stunt by Score to juice sales of their overprinted traded set.
Not the first time a crossover card stirred the pot—remember Danny Ainge on Topps, Donruss, and Fleer in the early ’80s? At least Ainge logged a few seasons in the Majors before hitting NBA stardom.
Did you ever snag a Lindros baseball card back in the day?
