Ken Griffey the elder celebrates his 75th birthday today and it got us to wondering. Which father/son combo would you take for your team if you had to pick? Bobby Bonds and Barry Bonds might be the obvious choice. But Junior and Senior give you huge offensive output without the baggage of the Bonds family. Ken Sr. is every bit the hitter Ken Jr. was, just without the huge power production and Gold Gloves. But Senior has the edge with World Series rings. You can’t sleep on the Alous either, nor the 1, 2, 3 punch of Sandy, Sandy Jr. and Roberto Alomar. So who is your favorite father/son duo or trio (in the case of the Alomars) – not necessarily the best, but your favorite multi-generational family talents?
